how to remove parity-1 in multiple parity setup

    I need to remove totally (not replace) my parity-1 disk in a 3 parity setup. the FAQ just says this:
    If you wish to remove a parity, you can simply remove the highest "N-parity" option from the configuration and then delete the parity file
    However, how does this change when parity-1 is the disk I need to remove? Do i just remove it from the config, relabel parity 2 and 3 down to 1 and 2, then delete the parity-1 file?

    edit: im using UnionFS and SnapRAID within OMV (virtualized on a Proxmox host)

    I belive You cannot remove parity-1 as it's needed for parity-2 and parity-3 to work as intended. So remove parity-3, issue sync, copy all files from parity-1 to parity-3 drive, sync again, remove original parity-1 drive,
