Now my configuration is follow:
Parity disks:8T * 1
Data disks:8T * 4
I plan to add 4 data disks(10TB) and 1 parity disk(10TB).
Question:
Should I need to replace the old parity disks(8T) to 10TB?
According to the FAQ,Parity disks ≥ Data disks, how about I use 10TB+6TB for 2 parity disks?
Is it ok that any one parity disk bigger than any one data disk?
Thx

is this still true with split parity, my setup includes 4x 10tb data, 2x 6tb for parity. initial sync fails with not enought parity... i found many posts where ppl claimed its working with split parity.

The recommendation is to have 2 parity files for 8 data disks.
Split parity feature makes it possible to split each parity file onto multiple disks. But two parts of a single parity file still only counts as a single parity file.
The not enough parity error is unrelated.

all parity disk must be as large as the largest data drive. so you will have to use two 10TB disks as parity. One parity is assigned to exactly to one disk. With 8 data disks you should use 2 parity discs.
This means, that your setup is probably 58TB+310TB data and 2*10TB parity.

1) Yes
2) You can't set it up like that becasue if you lost the 10TB drive then you'd lose both parity drives.
Some people like to split the parity among all the drives. Personally, I'd just set up two 10TB drives as parity.
