    Hi,

When I had only 10 disks with 2 parity disks, I was getting around 500mb/s throughput on snapraid. I just upgraded my server to 13 disks and started rebuilding a new parity set with 3 parity disks. My system is an intel 4771 processor, Z87 motherboard, 16GB ram. My block size is 1024 and the data is about 35tb. My hottest drive is about 43 degree centigrade. I've set the read ahead to 2048 on all disks. I'm running snapraid version 6.3.

I would appreciate some help to diagnose the problem and fix it.

    UPDATE

I just noticed my system is only using 2% of cpu and snapraid is using 0%. Before it was using about 50% hmmmm

    Thanks
    sp000000kie!

Ok. So I thought I had it figured out. I moved the overheating drive to a cooler spot and swapped it with a green drive which runs cooler. Both those drives are now find BUT Now my speed is dropping down to 80mb/s because of Disk 8 which isn't overheating. It's running at 37 degrees and I just did a file copy from that drive of 100gb and it was running at an average of 100mb/s which is full speed in my book. So I'm confused. In snapraid this disk is taking around 80% of all disk time but in normal use it as fast as all the other disks.

Is there any way to tell exactly which files on a specific disk it is working on at a particular time?
