    So, I finally got enough hardware to keep a full backup. Thing is, I'm probably going to shift my array to Storage Spaces in a stripped array since SS parity is benchmarked as being painfully slow. Even with ReFS I won't be able to fix my data since I won't be using parity or mirror. There dosne't seem to be a good solution for full disk hashing, so is it possible to use SnapRAID's content system without using Parity. I know it won't let me restore the damaged data without parity, but I'll know what is damaged and I can restore it from backups.

    Hi Kayot,

    No. It's not possible to use the SnapRAID hashing alone. That hashing is meant to be used in combination of a parity computation, and it's not the best implementation for a hash only solution.
