IMPORTANT: MonoDevelop Issues in SNAPPIX 0.9

On behalf of the SNAP Platform and SNAPPIX project, we thank you for your downloads and for visiting our humble forum.

We address you to make you aware of an apparent problem with MonoDevelop in SNAPPIX 0.9. We have had intermitent crashes of MonoDevelop in SNAPPIX 0.9 on our development PCs at our lab.

SNAPPIX is developed by a group of undergraduate students at Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, and we have IBM ThinkCentre M50 workstations. On these workstations, MonoDevelop crashes quite often for no apparent reason. On other hardware or on VMware 4.5.2, the MonoDevelop in SNAPPIX 0.9 does have these problems.

We are trying to determine the impact of these Mono-related issues with regard to other Mono-based software in general and SNAPPIX in particular. If you know someone who is knowledgeable of Mono, GTK, and building MonoDevelop and its dependencies from source, we would love some help in resolving this issue in future releases of SNAPPIX.
