The System Modeling Workbench is a collection of tools for editing software and system models. It includes support for UML 1.4, Real-Time Structured Analysis notation and it can be extended to other modeling languages.

The workbench supports XMI serialization, undo and redo of any operation, cut, copy and paste and an interactive shell for model manipulation.

SMW is developed using the Python programming language and the Qt GUI toolkit via the PyQt bindings.
