It would be great if i could select the audio device from Audio menu. I can select the channels which is great , but i have 2 cards using ALSA. If i want select the second one i have to add manually the parameter to use -ao alsa:device=Audigy2 , it would be great if there was a menu where we could select the output card. I already love be able to change from stereo to surround with just one click :) , but i really miss be able to change between cards in the same way.

Would it be difficult to implement ? Thanks in advance,

to be able to switch cards smplayer could just add:
    -ao alsa:device=default=CARDNUMBER
    e.g:
-ao alsa:device=default=0 plays through card 0
-ao alsa:device=default=1 plays through card 1

If you add --channels 6 it will select automatically the surround51 output for that card , so the normal behaviour won`t be affected. This feature would be really great.
Of course it would still need to list cards available. Probably there is a good way to do it , but a simple read in /proc/asound/cards would be enough :)
