Convert MKV subtitles into VTT for Chromecast
Free media player with support for Youtube

SMPlayer already succesfully casts SRT subtitles to Chromecast by automatically converting them to VTT.
Can you add similiar support for subtitles which are integrated inside a MKV container?
Otherwise I can't use those subtitles and have to spend time finding external subtitles when I already have them internally and guranteed to be synced perfetly.
I think chromecast doesn't support subtitles from MKV files.
You can extract the subtitles using a tool like mkvextract.
I know I can, but maybe SMPlayer can too. Just like the users don't have to manually convert SRT to VTT.
BTW, I've actually played a MKV file in which various MKV programs stated there are only video and audio tracks, so mkvextract didn't work even though this MKV did have subtitles. How weird is that?
