SMPlayer File Properties lies about channels on mono mp3 file - it states "Channels: 2", while it is certainly a mono mp3 file. Have a look:

❱ file final_mono.mp3
final_mono.mp3: MPEG ADTS, layer III, v1, 128 kbps, 44.1 kHz, Monaural
❱ file final_stereo.mp3
final_stereo.mp3: MPEG ADTS, layer III, v1, 128 kbps, 44.1 kHz, Stereo

The screenshot from SMPlayer is attached.

Using SMPlayer Version: 17.7.0 (revision 8599) on Xubuntu 17.10

When using mpv as multimedia engine, it correctly reports 1 audio channel. However mplayer reports 2 channels. So I guess it's a bug of mplayer.
