Hi,
I am using opensuse 13.2 with KDE and I run into a gui problem in kmix that I think is related to smplayer INFO_MEDIA_TITLE.
First, I start mpv and smplayer on the same youtube url from the command line.
$ mpv <some youtube-url="" here="" ...=""> &
$ smplayer <the same="" youtube-url="" as="" above="" ...=""> &
As expected, both the mpv window and the the smplayer window (with mpv backend) correctly displays the actual youtube title correctly.
But in smplayer, videos from youtube urls get funny titles propagated to the mpv backend (may be the INFO_MEDIA_TITLE ?) and incorrectely appear in the volume control.
In kmix (KDE volume control, see screenshot), the volume control for smplayer (the rightmost slider) is labelled by a long text something similar to "mp4&id=o-AJSr4UsoOfwEwzJXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXRU&mm=31&signature=A46D0EC428EXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX80E1491BB7&upn=aXXXXXXXwr3jc&mn=sn-4gxx-25gee&nh=EAE&expire=1486146709&mt=1486125084&ipbits=0&sparams=dur,id,initcwndbps,ip,ipbits,itag,lmt,mime,mm,mn,ms,mv,nh,pl,ratebypass,source,upn,expire&ratebypass=yes&pl=19&itag=22&quality=hd720&ms=au" instead of the youtube title as mpv directly provides to kmix (second slider from the right)
That is a problem because the kmix volume slider of smplayer spans most of the time outside of my screen area. I cannot see it or reach it with mouse ! (fortunately the screenshot is correct).
Best regards.

similar thing happens when you play video streams using SMplayer, it gets the stream URL and treats is as a video Title, clicking I for Information displays that Title in huge bold H1 font.
