Can not change colour of subtitles if I use mpv - it always displays white subtitles and doesn't respect settings. If I use mplayer it works as expected. It happens with and without ASS.Please help.
I did a fresh install, removed all config files and it didn't help. The same situation occurs with my both machines. Of course "Use custom style" is enabled - look at the screenshot. I've tried all output drivers. It was working as expected with mpv v0.8.0, and is broken with mpv 0.8.2 and 0.8.3 (I don't know if 0.8.1 works good). Could it be hardware dependent? My both machines use nvidia gpu. What else can I try? I use mpv from https://launchpad.net/~mc3man/+archive/ubuntu/mpv-tests
I can't reproduce the problem (I'm using mpv 0.8.2 but it works also with older versions). I attach a screenshot which shows blue subtitles.
Be sure the option Subtitles -> Use custom style is enabled.

I've just compiled the latest version of mpv from git master and now I can reproduce the problem. I'll try to find a fix.

I think the problem is fixed in svn r6795.
Nice, smplayer_14.9.0-SVN-r6795 works perfect. The issue has been fixed. Thank You.
I've found that "Apply style to ass files too" chckbox must be unchecked, other way subtitles are white again.
Fixed in svn r6798.
OK now. Thanks.
