Having no way to completely disable any OSD utterance whatsoever renders SMPlayer unuasable right there in a number of contexts (like in theatrical exhibition). In a theatrical screening there must not _ever_ be any OSD artefacts whatsoever. None. Zero. No playback control pop-ups, no messages about subtitles, no mouse pointer fwiw. Zip.
Apparently the least intrusive OSD setting available now is OSD > Subtitles only. There needs to be an option OSD > Off.
I can't stress this enough: Off shall mean just that. Nothing sneaking through, ever.
