#238 files with characters ä,ö,ü,ß in path don't work

linux (114)

hi there,

if I open a file with one of the characters ä,ö,ü,ß in the path name, smplayer adds it to its track list, but tells its duration was 0 seconds and does not want to play it. If i try doing Open -> File after having started SMplayer on its own, the files and folders containing one of those characters just aren't displayed so cannot be browsed.
ä,ö,ü,ß are very popular in the German language and ä and ö are in the Finnish language as well. (There even is a Finnish band called Värtinää ;)

I am using Gnome on Gentoo Linux, 64bit version. I checked the use-flags: every one is set right.

SMplayer is great software, thanks for it. Btw, the screenshot with the Matrix-pic on the front page fits very well there, very impressin *nod*

greatings, michael.

There must be some kind of problem with your system's locale. I can open files with those characters. See the attached screenshot.
