Hi,
I want to pack smoviecat to Debian but I have broken links in movies.html
Location: link
I have VÃdeos instead of Vídeos. I did a simple teste.html with:
<html> <head> <meta charset="utf-8"> </head><body> Vídeos </body>
</html>
And Firefox shows correct: Vídeos
I put /home/user/Vídeos in config.txt file and the scan did a good work, but
the link has a typo in movies.html. And so I can not use it.
Using Midnight Express ( O expresso da meia noite - pt-br) as an example:
The title is as O Expresso da Meia-Noite ( note the '-' between Meia Noite). This causes
problems with others links. IMHO is better not translate.

subscene.com - better not translate. And the url ends with a &l=
e.g. https://subscene.com/subtitles/title?q=midnight+express&l=
podnapisi.net - better not translate. And the url:

Ok, to use original title is simple:

Only subscene link was changed:

I found a soluction. But I am not a programmer, so it is not perfect.
I put, at the beginning of the moviecat.pl file:

'Location : link' is working now. But I have some errrors:
utf8 "\x##" does not map to Unicode at /usr/bin/smoviecat
sub open_bom

and
sub parse_nfo
{
if (/imdb.com\/title\/tt(\d+)/i) # I guess
}
I think the fix strange. I did a simple perl script and if I do
not treat a utf-8 string, it is not printed corrected in a terminal.
But moviecat.pl does that. It prints ok in a terminal when running
'moviecat.pl -c config.txt, but when 'Generating catalog' the html
page is wrong.

I changed:
-use open qw( :encoding(UTF-8) :std);
+use open qw( :utf8 :std);
This way less errors are showed. One per file:

But the file is parsed and if it has a imdb link will
be it will get an 'OK'.

It is an 'ISO-8859 text, with CRLF line terminators' file.

To the packaging on Debian I did:
debian/README.source
The upstream's tarball is SimpleMovieCatalog-2.4.0.zip (first Debian package).
After unzip is just SimpleMovieCatalog/, no version number. So the directory was
renamed to smoviecat ( the name to find the project on sourceforge.net and used
in debian/watch) and a version number was added - smoviecat-2.4.0. Finally the
tarball: smoviecat_2.4.0.tar.gz.
It is possible to provide that ? I am just asking. The project
has a history and I respect that.
