It would be neat for it to grab the weather from
wunderground.com or weather.com or wherever and output
it into the channel. It could output the local time,
the temperature/wind chill -- perhaps something like this:

Conditions for Corvallis, Oregon -- 12:47 PM PST
Temp: 42.3F/6C Humidity: 92%
Conditions : Overcast with wind at 5.0mph/ 8kmh
Sunrise : 7:31 AM PST Sunset : 5:22 PM PST

Maybe some time in the future an extended forcast too
-- like this.
Forecast:
Today: Areas of fog this morning with visibility down
to one quarter mile or less at times...then patchy fog
in the afternoon. Highs 50 to 55. Light wind.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy. Patchy fog early...then areas
of fog after midnight. Lows around 35. Light wind.
Wednesday: Mostly cloudy early...then partly sunny in
the afternoon. Areas of fog in the morning. Highs
around 55. Light wind.
Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy early...then mostly
cloudy after midnight. Areas of fog after midnight.
Lows 35 to 40. Light wind.

Just an idea --
