SmartQVT 0.2.2 and SmartGen 0.0.2 are released

SmartQVT 0.2.2 and SmarGen 0.0.2 are now available. The main new features in this new SmartQVT version are the content assist, the outline and the UML profile support. Of course, those new versions also offer a set of bug fixes.

Besides, the "unstable" versions of SmartQVT and SmartGen will now be available in a dedicated update site: http://smartqvt.elibel.tm.fr/unstable/ . "Unstable" means that those versions of SmartQVT have not been tested, while the "stable" versions (http://smartqvt.elibel.tm.fr/) have been tested. "Unstable" versions could be helpful to get a bug fix while waiting for the next release.... read more

SmartGen 0.0.1 is released

SmartGen is now available on SourceForge.net in version 0.0.1.

SmartGen is a code generation tool which produces text files and their directories from models. It is a model driven engineering (MDE/MDA) tool using templates. A SmartGen template is a text containing slots that will be filled by data coming from models. SmartGen allows using the model engineering paradigm to develop code generators. Thus, we can re-use all tools handling models such as SmartQVT. Besides, the pragmatic use of templates brings flexibility to the process. For instance, it enables to design separately generation and target templates . SmartGen grants to SmartQVT the code generation capability. SmartGen is composed of four components: SmartGen meta-model; SmartGen library to help the data model creation (it uses the QVT/Operational language); SmartGen serializer to serialize data models; examples wizard.
