I noticed in 5:30 hours Seek Error Rate changed from 100 to 93 and is now back to 100. The raw value changed back from 1 to 0. What may have caused it ? Just hoping my 10 month old Maxtor lasts. -- 0@pervalidus.{net, {dyndns.}org} |

Hi, These quantities (rates) do vary up and down. In this case the low raw value (0) is good. The point is that the seek error rate has gone down, which means that Attribute value has gone up. I wouldn't worry too much about this, at least, not yet! Cheers, =09Bruce On Sun, 9 Feb 2003, Fr=E9d=E9ric L. W.
