I've got a: > Device Model: Maxtor 96147H8 > Serial Number: M0000000 > Firmware Version: BAC51B90 It says error logging is not supported, but an error log can be printed, and has events in it: > Warning: device does not support Error Logging > SMART Error Log Version: 1 > Warning: ATA error count 36457 inconsistent with error log pointer 5 > ATA Error Count: 36457 (device log contains only the most recent five errors) Is this normal? Same thing for self-test logging: > Warning: device does not support Self Test Logging > SMART Self-test log structure revision number 1 Also, it's reporting the POH as 1595438, which I'm guessing must be minutes? I'm pretty sure I haven't had this drive for 182 years :-) I've noticed that all of the Old_age attributes seem to have a threshold of 0, is this the definition of an Old_age attribute? Finally, one of the "unknown" Old_age attributes seems to have failed: > 99 Unknown_Attribute 0x0004 253 000 000 Old_age > Offline In_the_past 0 Is there any way to find out what this means? Alexey |
