Hi Christain, I am using smart monitoring tools 6.4 . when I run the test on my DISK using smatd -q onecheck , I get the following Error message . What does this mean ? Device: /dev/sdu, opened SCSI device Device: /dev/sdu, non-SMART asc,ascq: 94,1 Device: /dev/sdv, opened SCSI device Device: /dev/sdv, non-SMART asc,ascq: 94,1 Does this mean my disk is bad . actually it is an SSD device. There is support for Adaptec/PMC controllers behind the AACRAID driver on Linux and Windows. See '-d aacraid' option on smartctl man page, and: https://www.smartmontools.org/wiki/Supported_RAID-Controllers The original patches for smartmontools were provided by developers from PMC-Sierra: http://www.smartmontools.org/ticket/328 http://www.smartmontools.org/ticket/496 I don't know which specific controllers are supported.
