I just upgraded the firmware to rev. 1.51 .

Unfortunately, even with the most recent firmware rev. I get the following when I execute "smartctl -a -T verypermissive -d areca,2/2 /dev/arcmsr0"

smartctl 6.1 2013-03-16 r3800 [x86_64-w64-mingw32-win7-sp1] (sf-6.1-2)

Any Help would be appreciated.

I recently downloaded and installed Smartmontools for Windows and installed the 64-bit version. smartctl --help reports that's it's release "smartctl 6.1 2013-03-16 r3800 [x86_64-w64-mingw32-win7-sp1] (sf-6.1-2)" .

I have an Areca ARC-1882-IX-12 SAS 2.0/SATA-III/G.0Gbps RAID card with 4GB of cache RAM and a BBU.

When I run the following command in an administrator command prompt :

smartctl -a -d areca,2/2 /dev/arcmsr1

I get :

Does anyone know what the problem is here?

Thanks,
