Hi all!
 
I have been getting an indepth view of my hardware configuration.
 
My RAID is soft based because my HDD are ATA (RAID hard only is available for SATA HDD in my motherboard).
 
So I have a soft RAID mirror configuration with the software configuration that I posted in the previous mails.
 
Anybody could help me?

I have been checking my server configuration and I have to rectify ,
my apologies (I didn't configured this "old" machine, and I didn't
know what I had!):
- I have a hardware RAID based on VT8237R southbridge (motherboard
K8V-MX) Which is the correct configuration for smartd with this RAID
hard?
- I have a 64 bit processor architecture: sempron 3000+, so I
changed to 2.6.18-6-amd64 kernel (I don't know if it has something
to do with this problem).
I don't know if the RAID is configured as HARD or SOFT.  How can I
know if it is hard or soft RAID????
Also, I want to add the smartctl -a output for both RAID disks. As
you can see, short and long tests are aborted several times by host
(Interrupted (host reset)).
