I have two Samsung disks and I am using smartctl version 5.36 on Fedora FC6 with a Sil3114 controller.

The SAMSUNG HD321KJ produces a lengthy report (which I haven't included here).

Can anyone provide any insight or debugging assistance for the other SAMSUNG HD321LJ which produces an error from smartctl:

% smartctl --info -d ata -a /dev/sdb
