Comment: Hello Greg,

The definitions are as follows -

ID Attribute Name Description

5 Relocated  Sectors Count Indicates the total number of retired blocks, calculated by adding the total program failure, erase failure, and read failure blocks.
9 Power On Hours Count of hours in power-on state. The raw value of this attribute shows total count of hours in power-on state.   The value is updated hourly.
12 Device Power Cycle Count Indicates the count of drive power on/off cycles since the manufactured date.
171 OP Available Count Indicates the current OP available, measured in number of sectors. This calculates the OP then subtracts the number of bad sectors.
(Bad sectors include initial bad blocks, program failures, erase failures, and read failures.)
174 Unexpected Power Loss Count Indicates the total number of unexpected power loss events without receiving a Sleep command or Standby Immediate since the drive was deployed.
195 Program Failure Block Count Indicates the total number of program failures. This is incremented when a new bad block has been added when a program failure has occurred.
196 Erase Failure Block Count Indicates the total number of erase failures. This is incremented when a new bad block has been added when an erase failure has occurred.
197 Read Failure Block Count Indicates the total number of read failures. This is incremented when a new bad block has been added when a read failure has occurred.
208 Erase Count Average Indicates the average erase count over all banks. It takes a total erase count for every block, on every bank.
210 SATA Error CRC Indicates a total count of SATA CRC errors experienced by the device since the drive was deployed.
If an op error occurs and:-
• it was not due to a dma data overrun,
• or if CRC is bad,
• or if rx fifo has overflowed,
• or if host command data transfer length is 1 sector,
• or if host command is a write command
Then it will increment the SATA CRC error count.
233 Remaining Life This indicates a percentage of life remaining. This selects the minimum value between the life remaining based on erase count, and life remaining based on bad block count.
241
Lifetime Writes from Host Indicates the total number of gigabytes written from the host since the drive was deployed.
242 Lifetime Reads from Host Indicates the total number of gigabytes read by the host since the drive was deployed.
249 Total Count of NAND Programs Indicates the total number of pages written by the device since the drive was deployed.
