your rabbitMQ was not setup properly (not listening)
just in case the only requirement for smartpos to connect rabbitmq, is to have the service up, and use the user and demo password provided: smart/smartpwd /you can change it later in both POS (resources) and ERP (sys config)
Depending on what number of merchandise you import, step 2 can be long (plenty longer than import itself, seeing that magento indexer is extremely bad designed in time period of overall performance as you can check.
