Hi, sorry for the slow reply - have been ill (but am better now). Now i haven't properly restarted my Small Linux development (which i'm doing right now.) so I can't immediatly help you. However it seems strange - with a few google searches it seems that plip doesn't need any other modules hmmmm. I'll have to look at this and see what i can do - I'll try and create a kernel 2.4.22 (maybe something higher?) and include plip as it is necessary especially for nice old computers (you see I use a 10mb network card - the only network driver included) I'll keep you informed James p.s. nice to see someone using the mailing list :-) -- Message sent with Supanet E-mail Signup to supanet at https://signup.supanet.com/cgi-bin/signup?_origin=sigwebmail |

There is no plip.o available for 0.9.0.2, so, i'm trying to compile it myself. I compiled plip using http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/libs/uclibc/root_fs_i386.bz2 and kernel 2.4.22. But, when i do "insmod plip" on small linux i get this unresolved symbol errors: unresolved symbol parport_unregister_device unresolved symbol parport_unregister_driver unresolved symbol parport_register_driver unresolved symbol parport_register_device unresolved symbol parport_claim unresolved symbol parport_release i think i'm missing something here, maybe you can help me. Thanks! |

Hi, I have posted onto the new sourceforge project site (http://sourceforge.net/projects/smalllinux2) an attempt at a new version of Small Linux: It contains Kernel 2.4.22 (I know - not really appropriate) uClibc 2.9.24 BusyBox v1.00-rc1 Any comments, complaints or problems post on the new forum or mailing list James jc...@su... -- Message sent with Supanet E-mail Signup to supanet at https://signup.supanet.com/cgi-bin/signup?_origin=sigwebmail |
