I don't have any experience using pam_slurm_adopt.
You can do the follwing:
Prepare slurm.conf on the headnode for using pam_slurm_adopt and run rocks sync slurm.
Test your cluster.
Now modify the file /etc/pam.d/password-auth-slurm on one compute-node.
Make sure, that the attribut slurm_pam_enable is set to true and run rocks sync slurm again.
Test your cluster again and on success, copy the file password-auth-slurm to all compute nodes.
Send me the modified file password-auth-slurm and I will use it in the next release.
Best regards
Werner

Hi Werner,
I want to use pam_slurm_adopt as described in https://slurm.schedmd.com/pam_slurm_adopt.html
Is there any consideration for that in the roll and nodes or it is fine to follow tht procedure?
