Hi! It seems that slurm is build with some old version of freeipmi. Is it really necessary?
The current freeipmi from centos (base repo) is freeipmi-1.5.7-2.el7.x86_64 and provides
    /usr/lib64/libipmimonitoring.so.6
    /usr/lib64/libipmimonitoring.so.6.0.6

Would be possible and useful to anyone to rebuild the roll against the latest centos 7?
(and gainst the upstrem freeipmi and also lz4?) IMHO these are system upstream libs i am not sure if there
are special needs for private old versions...

Thank you so much for your work!
    Adrian

    Hi Adrian

The freeipmi packages were needed originally when the CentOS versions were too old. If you've upgraded to CentOS 7.5, you won't need those freeipmi packages or the lz4 packages. I upgraded our cluster to 7.5 a while back and rebuilt the slurm roll. I can send my notes if you're interested.
