#9 /etc/limits not taken into account

Hello,
experience seems to indicate Slim doesn't recognise settings in /etc/limits. Is there a way around that limitation (without using PAM, which reads from /etc/security/limits.conf), an easy way to add that or simply some documentation of that missed (or is it a "wontfix")?
