For those who may not follow the bug tracker, this problem was reported
there today, including a sample zip file and details on the problem
slidePresenter version (slidePresenter-0.40-beta-2), and it has been
fixed.
The fix is in one file: inc/functions.php.

This fix is now in SVN (revision:141) and will be in the next release.
