My grandiose plans for v2 of TSK have been reduced because I have too 
many other projects going on.  The internal size changes, autodetect 
file system type, disk images, and split image support are complete in 
both TSK and Autopsy.  I have started to look at incorporating the 
Unicode and indexing support, but my gut feeling is that they will take 
a while.  Therefore, I think I am going to release v2 without them so 
that people can use the new disk image support sooner.

If anyone is interested in playing with the new versions before they 
are publicly released, then let me know (off-list).   They are both 
stable, but I would like a few additional people to use it.
