[sleuthkit-developers] Perl on CD

Anyone have experience with "safely" running Perl from a CD?  My goal 
is to have the equivalent to a statically compiled version of Perl on a 
CD for the incident response features of Autopsy.

I'm assuming I can either copy the needed Perl libraries to the CD 
along with the perl executable, or require people to compile a static 
version of Perl (which I haven't played with yet).  The former seems 
the more flexible since not all people have the source for Perl.

Has anyone looked into this type of thing before?

FYI: perl2exe seems to work well with Autopsy, although I had to use 
the eval version, the full version is $150, and it expires in 30 days.
