Maybe dd both of them and compare the hex to look for similarities that might lead to discovering information about the file system. Just reading a few articles from a google search makes me wonder if you need to use tools designed to work with streaming data. Mini-dv is a tape-based format, so tools for DVDs and CDs (and hard disk drives) may not work. What would someone use to forensically examine a DAT or DLT? |
