Hi, Uwe. Your experience matches mine. In general it is faster (with most =20 processor/disk combinations) to read a compressed file and decompress =20= it, than to read a decompressed file. Right now there is no way to mount aff-files via a loopback device. =20 However, if you want to write the code, I'll be happy to integrate it!
