I agree that a prepackaged Linux version would be nice, but I think this is
a packaging issue that doesn't require lots of development resources and
planning for the future. Autopsy builds nicely on Ubuntu Linux today, so I
already run it on Linux. Fairly comprehensive build instructions are
available here if anybody wants to try:
