Perhaps harsh, but if the lists go away so will I (from participation,
you'll pry fls | awk | icat out of my cold, dead fingers).  Integrated
forum & list would be a curiosity, but I've typically seen a bifurcation -
forums tend to be used for "random newbie question" type traffic and MLs
are usually more intentional participants.
