#12 0609a: two weight text scroller UI issues

When I click New and start creating a story, when I pick a topic
from the cool popup, it gets added to the text scroller with the full
text of the topic, like "Main Page :: Features :: Slash (1)". And the
text scroller is wide enough to display that OK.

But after I Preview that, it comes in as just "Slash (1)". That's the
first issue. It should still be the full text. If I add a new topic, it
comes in with the full name. But even when I select an existing
topic and change its weight, its name stays short.

Second issue is that the popup menu to change weight doesn't
seem to work with Firefox, at least on Linux. Selecting a topic and
flipping around the popup menu does nothing. Try it on browsers
other than Safari. If there's a pref that needs to be changed, find
out what; if this is a problem with the underlying code, gulp, ok,
let's see if the author wants to fix it :)

It'd also be very nice if, on selecting a topic from the text scroller,
it would automatically flip the weight menu to equal its current
value. Not just for consistency. But also because, as things stand
now, if I click on a topic with weight 1, the popup stays 4, and I
want to *change* it to 4, just selecting and letting go of the popup
doesn't change anything. I have to switch it to (say) 3, and then
back to 4, to set the topic weight to 4.

The first issue ... nothing can be done about it. We discussed this already.
We have no context to know the hierarchy, so we cannot display the

OK, I changed how the "full name" is constructed to be more portable.
Instead of generating it when the topic is selected, the "full name" is
stored with the topic itself, generated by the template. This is probably
how we should, eventually, deal with generating the "full name" on
preview/edit of existing stories; just store the name somewhere in the DB.

I added the flipping of the weight popup on topic selection. This worked
before, I think, but maybe some of the other problems with Firefox caused
you to not see it? I dunno. I expanded it so that it also flips when you
first select it from the topic tree, and the newly added topic is also
selected automatically in the select box for you.

It now all works with Firefox, Moz, Camino, MSIE for Mac, except for one
thing: selecting a topic won't change the weights popup in MSIE. I
imagine it might in MSIE for Windows, as MSIE for Mac is quite old now.
It's weird ... works sometimes, but not others. Opera works too, except
that the weight displays don't update until you click on something. Weird.
