Yes, I know this is the wrong list. There doesn't seem to be a right
list. It looks like a spriting attempt went bad and the clipping
doesn't always work right.

Are you referring to the widgets that are littered across the page?  That's what I see in FF3.

Yes. It's a single image that's meant to be split by CSS into the
right pieces, but apparently that isn't happening,

supposedly this is fixed for our next code push.
