I was wondering if anybody out there has seen or has developed a plugin
that will monitor the currently active users on a site.
For instance when you get to the main index page you would see a line
similar to this:
Currently active users 236
There are currently 198 logged in users and 38 anonymous users on the
web site. The most users ever online was 500 on December 15, 2003 at
Perhaps a link could then be included as well that would allow a user to
then go to a page and select individual user nicknames so that they
could then go and view a online user profile.
If there exist a plugin such as this or someone has a start on code that
would do this I would really appreciate getting a chance to download /
look at the code so that I could implement it on my site.

I did a quick last-logins plugin:
It doesn't do everything you're asking. It does function, I've used it=20=
on a few different sites now. But it wouldn't be hard to continue on=20
with it, to make it more of what you're wanting, since the src is just=20=
a cvs download away :)
