I am running SlashCode 2.2.4 on RedHat, mysql backend. I can add stories as the users, but only against the default 'articles',news' grouping. If I try to submit a news topic story to my own 'photo' section (created as the admin user in BackSlash) it does not appear in the list of user submissions. There is no error message. Any ideas what I can try to see what's up ? -- Tom May contain traces of nuts |

I had a similar problem which I posted to this group a while ago. I could post to sections that came w/slashcode, but not to sections I created. There is a simple dependency which is not documented anywhere and not enforced - I have a bug open to track the issue. ! be sure you have topics assigned to the section you created 1) Click the Topics link in the Admin menu 2) Select a Topic you want to assign to your section 3) There will be check boxes on the right indicating the sections to assign the topic to. Click the ones you like. 4) Save the Topic. Presto. I will work. I think. :) On Thu, 2002-02-14 at 07:12, Thomas Chiverton wrote: > I am running SlashCode 2.2.4 on RedHat, mysql backend. > I can add stories as the users, but only against the default > 'articles',news' grouping. I just upgraded from 2.2.4 to 2.2.5 and switched servers in the process. For the life of me I can't get the index page to update with the correct number of comments. Slashd is running and I can't find any errors in slashd.log. Any ideas? --Brent purdueonline.com ------------------------------------------------- This mail sent through IMP: http://horde.org/imp/ |

It takes a while for the page to get re-written, depending on certain factors. You could probably force it by restarting apache. Don. I've restarted apache MANY times, still no luck. I've also noticed some comments are disappearing. On the homepage, it says my poll has 3 comments. I go to the pollbooth and says "1 comment" and shows none! --Brent Quoting Don Seiler <do...@se...>: > It takes a while for the page to get re-written, depending on certain > factors.
