[Slashcode-general] LDAP?

Is there a way to store/share the user login info with an LDAP 
server?

I want to provide users with e-mail accounts and web interface. Most 
e-mail servers can use LDAP besides the unix login and passwd.

or does anyone know of an e-mail server that stores its info in 
MySQL?

AFAIK there's no way around writing your own middleware which syncs DB
and LDAP server (or find an existing perl script which does that).

this shouldnt be too hard to write yourself.  there are a few good perl mods to 
do this for you.  If slash is nice, you should be able to change the auth info 
in one place to lookup your auth tokens in an ldap instead of mysql.
