I haven't pulled out the reference to apxs yet, but I will be.
I was thinking today that it might make sense to generate
a httpd.conf include file for people if they want to go
that route. It would be nice to have a set of tables in
a separate instance someday that stored the values of
installs (and might make for a good place to build a
multi-site admin tool).
