a long time ago someone told me stories aren't ever archived in bender, but
looking through vars table i see archive_delay. i was just wondering why
that exists if stories are no longer archived.

it's just a left-over. i asked the same thing in IRC
a week ago. bender still "doesn't archive"

archive_delay is still used for the newstories table, for now.
