[Slashcode-general] Using Apache's REMOTE_USER env var

Hi,

  I'm setting up a slash site. I'd like the "Nick Name" fields to be 
automatically filled with the contents of $ENV{REMOTE_USER} and the 
passwords for everyone to be set to something like "foobar".

  The reason is that we have our slash Site protected by Cosign, which 
is a reduced sign on system based upon Kerberos. We use it at Edinburgh 
University to make authentication (relatively) transparent to end users.

  If there's an easy way to achieve this then please let me know. 
Otherwise I'll hack something together and submit the patches.
