[Slashcode-general] setup help

Hi, 

Ive just installed slashcode on my server  (gentoo linux) but although the
site loads and works I have a few problems.

 

 

1.       Email will not send, I think this is server related so not urgent

2.       The vars do not seem to want to update at all - they update in the
database but the actual httpd configs don't update and the siteinfo page
shows the original vars not the new ones - this is the main problem.

 

Any suggestions ?
