Does it work differently then that? Well, 2.2 doesn't have a 'newstories' table any more. And they don't get "moved" from submissions to stories, so much as copied; whatever was in submissions, stays. Submissions are never actually deleted, just marked so they don't show up in the bin. This has proved useful on Slashdot since we can go in and search for old submissions when the need arises (though not often enough that we've felt the need to provide a web-based search).
