First off, thanks to the people that replied to me the other day about the default blocks situation - Micah and Nomad, and those that spoke to me on IRC. Moving on.. I've decided to go ahead and use Slash for my project, the only thing is, finding a machine that's fast enough that noone else will steal from me! :) I tried using a P166 w/ 64mb running Linux 2.4, but it was just too slow. There are a couple of machines scattered around the office here; and I was just wondering if anyone had used an SGI O2? It's surplus at the moment (though I'd have to install all of the GNU tools), but I'm not sure if I'd be fast enough or not.. I did install Slash briefly on my 1GHz Athlon (with 512MB of RAM), and it sure did fly! :) Any suggestions? Thanks! It'll be a pretty low-key site, at least to start with...
