Ahh!! Please don't flame me too bad, or hit me over the head, or anything such as that. I'm sure most around here are linux advocates, but much of my work and play is done in windows, so I feel more comfortable running my server from there. And this is just a little fun small-scale project just to see what I can do and to have my friends (a small group, obviously) be able to access my website. I've got MySQL, Perl, PHP, and of course Apache all up and running, but I've run into problems with compiling Slashcode. First of all, I don't really know where to start on porting code. To me, my idea of porting code is "Eh, it's written in a standard language, shouldn't it compile wherever?" Unfortunately, I have no idea what to do with a makefile in windows (how to make vc++ do something with a makefile) or where to begin changing stuff around so it will work with windows. I've messed around a bit with cygwin, actually got the thing to compile, but of course there was no way to install it as per the INSTALL in slashcode. So, here I go: anyone have any win32 binaries, or can help me with getting this to work on my win32 apache?? Feel free to ignore this...
