[Slashcode-general] slashd

I am in the process of installing slash 2.0 for the first time. My current problem is this: It seems that the slash script that starts slasd never got installed anywhere. The only place is in /slash-2.0.0/utils/slash and when I try to run that file I get this error:

   # /slash-2.0.0/utils/slash start
   Starting slashd slashvu: ok PID = 38360 
   # su: no directory
   # 

and that's it. So I guess my question is how do I configure that file so that it will start slashd correctly?
