[Slashcode-general] portald and static blocks

Dear All,

Could some one explain to me how portald blocks work?  I'm not sure
about this ...

Also, I have specfic questions about static blocks. I'm not seeming to
be able to update the poll, and I don't know understand where the data
that feel fancyboxes comes from. Any feedback would be appeciated.
