I tried to install slashcode for a new site I'm dreaming up. I run Redhat 7.0 with little in the way of upgrade. I've installed Apache 1.3.19, Perl was installed by default on RedHat, I also got perl_mod installed, but when trying to use cpan it upgraded my Perl. Well all well and fine but slashcode wouldn't install. It fails when I "install Bundle::Slash" . cpan fails on Apache::Cookies. So I "install Apache::Cookies" and get an error when cpan tries to make all in /.cpan/build/libapreq-0.31/c. I manually downloaded the libapreq module and installed but that fails due to a missing link in /usr/local/share called missing. What is my problem here? by the by I really like the Slashcode format. I'm trying to build a REAL community news for my city. I think the Slash format would be great to keep up on current local events. Thanks all, Jay |
